Mechanism of Association between Inflammation and Essential Hypertension in the Elderly

Abstract

Abstract: Essential hypertension （EH） is a common circulatory system disease that severely threatens human physical and mental health.With the aging of the population，understanding of the pathogenesis of EH continues to improve.Inflammation has attracted much attention in studies of the pathogenesis of EH in the elderly.Structural remodeling of aging blood vessels is the structural basis for the increase in blood pressure with age.Inflammation-mediated blood vessel damage，which leads to changes in vascular function，is the pathological basis for the elevation in blood pressure occurring with age.The inflammatory response is involved in the pathogenesis and development of EH in the elderly.This article summarizes new discoveries in EH etiology，analyzes the associations among inflammation and EH in the elderly，and provides theoretical support for the prevention，treatment and control of EH in the elderly.

摘要： 原发性高血压病（EH）是常见的循环系统疾病，严重威胁人类身心健康，随着人口老龄化加剧，关于EH发病机制的探索不断深入，炎症在老年EH发病机制中备受关注。老化血管结构重塑是血压增高的结构基础，炎症介导血管损伤导致血管性能改变是血压升高的病理基础，炎性反应贯穿老年EH发病及发展。本文总结了EH病因的新探索发现，分析了炎症与老年EH的关联机制，为老年EH的预防、治疗、控制提供理论支持。
